Sports Massage

I am currently Paralympic, World & European Champion, I am also an amputee. I lost my leg in a bike accident some time ago and after learning to walk again I needed some help with my muscles and generally therapy to get me moving again. I came across Fliss through a friend who was already using her services.

I contacted Fliss and described my problems, she was very understanding and happy to help. After my first appointment I felt as though Fliss actually cared about my situation and we worked together to find ways of making me stronger.

We have gone on to work together over the last 4 years to ensure that now I am a full time professional athlete i remain injury free. I visit Fliss twice a week normally at the beginning and at the end. I need to make sure i am ready for the next block of training.

Sports massage is not just for elite athletes, its a great way to relieve tension, help with sleep, flush the unwanted chemicals through the body and most importantly make you feel great.

My muscles are now stronger and I feel fitter, I am also now representing GBR all over the world and flying the flag.

Andy Lewis MBE, Para-triathlete

I entered the 2017 Isle of Man TT as a sidecar passenger with RJ Roadracing. Having not raced regularly for nearly two years due to injury (broken arm and two broken thumbs). I really struggled with stiffness, pain and arm pump during frantic hour long practice sessions, so much so, that we had to end the runs early. Thanks to the swift massage and therapy from Fliss soon after the sessions. This tightness and pain was quickly relieved. Fliss also devised a warm up routine and did further massage before practices which really helped to prevent the problems reoccurring. Thanks to the help Fliss gave me, we finished both races with a best position of seventh, a great result for both the team and my arms!

Having suffered with sustained back pain which forced me to give up competitive running, I lost patience with private physio therapists who enjoyed taking money off me without elevating the issues. A personal trainer at my gym recommended I visit Fliss for sports massage.

I have used Fliss for Sports Massage for pre and post event preparation as well as regular appointments which enable me to enjoy training regularly as well as alleviating muscular aches caused by a combination of my occupation and regular training program.

My back pain has improved massively thanks to Fliss and she is highly recommended.

I see Fliss regularly for hot stone and aromatherapy massages as although I don't have any injuries I feel full of knotted muscles from the stress of my busy working week.
I've been to several (often expensive) spas and practioners before whilst living in London, which often left me feeling more tense than when I went in!
She's a very competent yet approachable individual and I leave my sessions feeling totally relaxed. I also feel comfortable to ask questions or for advice which I've never done previously.
Thanks so much Fliss!

Kinesio Tape

'I suffered a torn medial cruciate ligament playing rugby for Lydney and was out of the gym, work and had no movement what so ever in my right knee, I heard about Fliss and her tape and thought I'd give it ago. The tape was amazing, it acted as a support for my knee and I was off crutches in around a week, after my first lot of tape I was so impressed by their durability and effectiveness I got a second lot. Needless to say within 3 weeks I have been given the all clear by my physio and started running and doing some light leg work in the gym. I also managed to pass my driving test with them! I feel the Kineso tape is great value for money as they are so effective for anyone from athletes to housewives, they allowed me to do everything normal again and my injury heal rapidly!"

Pilates

Im a very keen and enthusiastic cyclist who's constantly struggled with back and side issues but like so many men, plodded on, trying all manner of exercises to 'self help', even self referred pyhsio at the hospital did not help.
Sadly like so many men assumed that Pilates is only for the Ladies, How wrong I was..... It's was a steep learning curve that taught me just how unfit and out of touch with my own body I actually was.
Thanks to Fliss and the low 'pupil to tutor' ration of just 3 to 1, which meant she could fine tune my own areas of weakness and keep her eyes on me, just to make sure I wasn't taking short cuts, after just 6 sessions I could really feel a improvement. I've been shown how to Correctly hold my postured and strengthen core muscles, that I'd previously neglected. Finally this year Ive enjoyed a problem free summer on my bike.... Now I really look forward to my weekly sessions! Knowing they help me stay subtle and mobile, plus they're great fun...Thanks  Fliss...
